Opening Prayers (dogmatically correct):
1. Begin by making the SIGN OF THE CROSS: "In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen"
2. Recite the Act of Contrition: "Oh, My God, I am heartly sorry for having offended Thee. And, I detest all of my sins because of Your just punishments. But, most of all, I offend Thee my God, who are so good and deserved of all of my love. I firmly resolve with the help of Your grace, to sin no more, and to avoid the near occasion of sin. Amen"

“My Lord Jesus Christ, you have made this journey to die for me with unspeakable love... I wish to follow you on this journey...”
