From Sussex to Space, Brighton to the Moon.

Why I’m Applying to Join NASA’s Moon Mission.

Brighton, UK — My name is Matthew Taylor. I’m a filmmaker, political activist, and the man behind MattTaylorTV! on YouTube. Some of you may also remember me as an independent candidate for Brighton Kemptown in the 2015 General Election. Now, I’ve set my sights further than ever before — quite literally. I’m applying to become part of NASA’s storytelling team as they prepare to establish a permanent base on the Moon.

From Political Candidate to Lunar Chronicler.

In 2015, I ran for Parliament with a bold message: expose corruption, speak truth, and put power back in the hands of ordinary people. That campaign took unexpected turns — including allegations of sabotage, targeted harassment, and what I now believe was a coordinated effort to silence dissenting voices.

I stood shoulder to shoulder with fellow independent Joe Neilson, who now lives abroad, too afraid to return home. We both witnessed the dark side of politics and power. It shook me, but it didn’t break me. Instead, it sharpened my purpose.

I turned my energy to storytelling. I launched MattTaylorTV! — a space where political satire, investigative journalism, and speculative futurism could collide. And now, that passion for storytelling is taking me beyond Earth, into space.

Why NASA?

NASA isn’t just planning to land on the Moon again. They’re planning to stay. This is history in the making — and I want to be there to tell that story.

I’ve spent my life chasing truth and challenging official narratives. Now, I want to bring that same drive to the greatest human endeavour of our time — building a permanent home on another world.

My proposed documentary project, Return to the Moon, aims to go beyond the rockets and modules. I want to explore the human side of lunar settlement: the fears, the triumphs, the resilience, the science — and what it means for the future of civilisation.

From Brighton to the Moon.

This journey isn’t mine alone. My teenage son and long-term partner will be joining me as we relocate to the U.S. It’s a family adventure, yes — but it’s also a national one.

This isn’t just America’s Moonshot. It’s ours too. I believe Britain deserves a voice in this new chapter of exploration, and I want to be that voice — a storyteller from Brighton, adding British spirit to a global mission.

I’ll be streaming every step on Rumble, under the banner “From Brighton to the Moon.” This is your chance to follow a real-time mission — one man’s attempt to go from a small studio in Sussex to the storytelling front lines of space history.
Whether I make it to NASA or not, I promise to tell this story as only I can — raw, honest, and unfiltered.
