There is so much knowledge "out there". Knowledge is power and if we do not possess the necessary knowledge there is a risk that we will be exploited, influenced and controlled by the ones who does. Esotericism refers to knowledge or practices that are meant to be understood only by a select few, often due to their complexity, obscurity, or spiritual nature. It often involves secret or hidden knowledge accessible only to initiates or those with specialized understanding, and is frequently associated with mystical, spiritual, or occult traditions. Why is that? Christian esotericism, Buddhist esotericism, esoteric Hinduism and a lot of others have a lot in common. They all refers to mystical interpretations of the religion that emphasize hidden or inner teachings, often associated with mystery schools. These schools, sometimes called "universities of the soul", offer a curriculum of rituals, practices, and initiations designed to reveal deeper truths about humanity and its connection to the divine. They often draw upon various esoteric traditions, including Gnosticism, Hermeticism, and ancient wisdom teachings, to provide a path towards spiritual self-discovery and transformation.
