TODAY Gen 44:1-2

Joseph’s Silver Cup When his brothers were ready to leave, Joseph gave these instructions to his palace manager: “Fill each of their sacks with as much grain as they can carry, and put each man’s money back into his sack.
2 Then put my personal silver cup at the top of the youngest brother’s sack, along with the money for his grain.” So the manager did as Joseph instructed him.

Again, the brothers received an abundant measure of grain, while they also received the money back with them. Throughout their trial the LORD showered them with abundant grace and favour. The cup must be put into Benjamin’s sack. He is the only one of the brothers who was innocent of Joseph’s rejection, but all the guilt was imputed to him. This was also what happened to the Lord Jesus. The Just suffered for the unjust (1Pe_3:18). The brothers (and we) must learn that. We could also see the house steward as a picture of the Holy Spirit. He did everything Joseph said and as he said it. May you be vulnerable to the leading of the Lord in Jesus' name!

Personal Supplication
Father, in the name of Jesus, help me follow Your leading for my life so that I may overflow with abundance! Is 48:21

21 And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: He caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: He clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.

I shall tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the dragon shalt I trample under feet. Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will He deliver me: He will set him on high, because I have known His name. I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me. With long life will God satisfy me, And shew me His salvation. So shall it be for me and my household throughout this week in Jesus' name!
