Grounding in resistance - RIF Podcast 11 - 1st April 2025

In this episode, hosts Nounja, Sacha and Benji discuss the psychology of Grounding in Resistance. We link how our individual psychologies can helps us ground in collective resistance and its lineages through time. We discuss how the fact that Western psychology posits, as psychoanalysis does, a dark core to the human psyche might be a reflection of the West’s darkest colonial imaginings, and not grounded in human psychology writ large. We explore how self-determination in the therapy room and on the battlefields of the anticolonial struggles might link up to help us evolve a collective consciousness nourishing resistance. We conclude by contrasting how resistance is grounded in common humanity whereas imperial and Zionist narratives are grounded in lies, projections and reversal of the victim position.
