Morgan Geyser release hearing

Morgan Geyser is back in court today as the judge moves to finalize her release from Winnebago Mental Health. She was 12 when she and her friend stabbed a classmate to impress Slender Man — yes, the made-up horror character.

Her conditional release plan was approved on July 17, but today they’re tying up the final details, including where she’ll go and under what restrictions. Her co-defendant, Anissa Weier, was released back in 2021. Now it’s Morgan’s turn.
