Week 27 Readings of our 2025 Chronological Bible-in-a-Year Reading Challenge have us continuing in the Book of Jeremiah as we bounce about through the periods of Judah's final 5 Kings and witness the downfall of Jerusalem to the Babylonians.

In this video, Chad Mansbridge draws our attention once again to the complexities of the Prophets. Jeremiah, as with many prophetic books, is not laid out chronologically and so great care is required in order to follow the story well.

Despite the expected doom and gloom however, the prophetic promises flow thick and fast this week, including that of a new and everlasting covenant where Judah and Israel will be united again, someday, under the reign of a great Davidic King, who will reign in righteous from a future, rebuilt and restored, Jerusalem!

Things may be dark right now, but there's good times coming...
