Flights are resuming from UK airports after all departures were delayed by an air traffic control issue.

National Air Traffic Services said the problem was now resolved, but delays and cancellations were still being reported across the country.

An earlier statement from air traffic control said: "We are limiting the number of aircraft flying in the London control area in order to ensure safety”.
