India-US Launch World’s Most Advanced Earth-Watching Satellite | Vantage with Palki Sharma | N18G

India and the United States have jointly launched one of the world’s most advanced Earth observation satellites—Nisar. Built by ISRO and NASA, this 2,392kg satellite will detect the tiniest shifts in land, water, and ice anywhere on Earth. Equipped with dual radar frequencies (L-band from NASA and S-band from ISRO), Nisar is the first satellite of its kind. It will orbit the Earth every 12 days, tracking changes in the planet’s surface with centimetre-level precision. From early warnings for earthquakes and landslides to monitoring glacier melts and urban expansion, Nisar will support disaster management and climate change tracking on a global scale. This landmark launch follows India’s historic Axiom-4 mission, which sent its first astronaut to the International Space Station.
