July 30, 2020 - Ken Owen Finds His 1982 Audition Tape for WIBC Indianapolis

I gave this ratty cassette (unlabeled, he wrote my name on it) to the great Fred Heckman in late 1982 (I think it was closer to Christmas than Thanksgiving after listening to it) as an "audition reel" and I was hired on the basis of this. These are clips from WIRE-AM (1430 AM) in Indy, where I worked all of 1982 as a part-timer (while a DePauw University student and after graduation) for $4.50 an hour. Ah, the old days!
