Beams of light burned them, paralyzed them, and even drained blood and plasma like some kind of alien predator. Locals called them “Chupa Chupa,” meaning “suck suck,” because that is exactly what it felt like.

The Brazilian Air Force launched Operation Prato to investigate, capturing hundreds of photos and detailed reports, but most of the evidence was buried for decades. When the files finally started to surface, it became clear this was far more than simple UFO sightings. This was something calculated, something vampiric, and something that left real scars.
