Man Faces Court After Bomb Threat Chaos on Glasgow-Bound EasyJet Flight
Abhay Devdas Nayak charged over disrupting UK flight with chants

Abhay Devdas Nayak, 41, from Luton, appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court on July 28, 2025, charged with assault and endangering the safety of an aircraft under The Air Navigation Order 2016. The charges stem from an incident on an EasyJet flight (EZY609) from London Luton to Glasgow on July 27, where Nayak allegedly shouted bomb threats and slogans including "Death to America," "Death to Trump," and "Allahu Akbar." Passengers tackled him, and he was arrested upon landing at Glasgow Airport around 8:20 AM. No explosives were found, and he faces no terrorism charges. Nayak made no plea, was remanded in custody, and is due back in court within eight days.
