Day 210 – Foundations That Won’t Fail — Isaiah 28–30 | Bible In A Year (CSB)

In these chapters, Isaiah rebukes the leaders of Israel and Judah for placing their trust in alliances and human wisdom rather than in God. He warns of coming judgment, yet also points forward to a precious cornerstone—a sure foundation for those who trust in the Lord. The tension between rebellion and redemption runs throughout, reminding us of both the consequences of misplaced trust and the hope offered to those who return to God.

Questions:
1. What does Isaiah 28:16 teach us about the nature of true security, and how does the New Testament apply this verse to Christ?

2. Why do you think people so often turn to political or human solutions instead of trusting in God, especially in times of crisis?

3. Isaiah 30:15 says, “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength”—how can this verse shape our response to fear and uncertainty today?
