Trump ‘Disappointed’ in Putin, Shortens Peace Deadline to Just 10–12 Days

During a meeting in Scotland with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, President Trump sharply expressed his frustration with Russian President Vladimir Putin, announcing that the previously announced 50-day deadline for a ceasefire in Ukraine has now been cut to 10–12 days. If Russia fails to show meaningful progress by early August, Trump warned of secondary sanctions and tariffs targeting both Russia and its trading partners. Trump added he’s “very disappointed” in Putin’s continued aggression and ruled out further talks unless immediate action is taken. Ukrainian leaders welcomed the tougher stance.
