Silenced for Speaking Truth: Why the Church Suppresses the Traditional Faith Today
Today’s episode confronts a chilling reality:
Now that the modernist hierarchy in Rome has effectively silenced the traditional Catholic movement a minority voice in the Church they have set their eyes on a new target.
That is: the conservative “John Paul II Catholics” those who, while not embracing the full breadth of traditional liturgy, still hold fast to moral doctrine, the need for conversion, the reality of hell, and the unique salvation offered only through Jesus Christ and His Church.
This is not paranoia. It is a pattern. The more one embraces truth, the more they are perceived as a threat to the globalist-modernist vision of a new church… one that seeks to blend Catholicism into a one-world religion, where doctrine is replaced by dialogue, and Christ is reduced to one savior among many.
Segment 1: The Canary in the Coal Mine — Dr. Ralph Martin
Dr. Ralph Martin is not a traditionalist. He does not exclusively attend the Traditional Latin Mass. Yet, he has sounded the alarm on the decay of Catholic identity for years calling out:
• The loss of supernatural faith
• The silence on sin, judgment, and the need for conversion
• The spiritual cancer of modernism in seminaries and theology departments
His book A Church in Crisis offers a stinging critique of how truth is being abandoned in favor of vague, therapeutic, feel-good Christianity.
And what has been his reward?
Marginalization. Suppression. Silence.
Not by the secular world but by his own Church.
He is ignored by bishops, sidelined by universities, and even rejected by those who once supported his evangelistic work. Why? Because truth real, uncompromising, salvific truth is now the enemy of the “new church.”
Segment 2: The Traditionalist Target
For decades, Rome and many bishops waged an open war against traditional Catholicism:
• Suppressing the Traditional Latin Mass
• Shuttering faithful orders like the Franciscans of the Immaculate
• Mocking those devoted to Eucharistic reverence, the Rosary, and Marian apparitions
Faithful priests like Fr. James Altman, Fr. Chad Ripperger, Bishop Athanasius Schneider, and Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò have been smeared and punished.
Their crime? Teaching the faith without compromise. Warning souls about hell. Upholding the Magisterium as handed down not reinvented.
Now that the Traditionalist movement is boxed in restricted, denied diocesan support, and falsely accused of schism Rome is going after the next layer:
Those who still uphold moral clarity within the Novus Ordo framework.
Catholics like Dr. Martin, or even once-revered papal figures from the John Paul II era.
Segment 3: The New Religion on the Horizon
The goal is no longer hidden:
Create a new church. A “universal fraternity.” A humanitarian religion rooted in climate policy, dialogue with heresies, and global unity.
Pope Francis has said repeatedly: “Proselytism is solemn nonsense.”
But our Lord says:
“Go, therefore, and teach all nations… baptizing them…” (Matt. 28:19)
Ecumenical documents now celebrate the “diversity of religions” as “willed by God.” But this is blasphemy.
As Pope Leo XIII declared in Satis Cognitum:
“The Church is one because her Founder is one… Christ the Lord founded not many churches, but one Church only.”
This new church is built on ambiguity weaponized from the unclear language of Vatican II. Dr. Martin himself has said:
“The Council didn’t create heresy. But it created the room for heresy to flourish.”
And now, we see the fruits.
Segment 4: The Seminaries: Where Saints are Silenced
The frontlines of this revolution are the seminaries. Dr. Martin, seminarians, and former formators have spoken of a quiet tyranny within formation:
• Latin Mass? Forbidden.
• Kneeling during consecration? Discouraged.
• Quoting pre-Vatican II Popes? “Divisive.”
• Spiritual classics like The Imitation of Christ or Garrigou-Lagrange? Ignored.
Those called by God to become priests are told to suppress their desire for reverence and truth.
One seminarian confessed:
“If you even bring up tradition, you’re blacklisted. I kept my Latin Missal hidden like contraband.”
This is not a Church of mercy. It is a Church of fear where faithfulness is punished, and heresy rewarded.
Segment 5: The Underground Seminarians
What happens to these young men?
They endure a white martyrdom. They offer silence in the face of persecution. They fast, pray, and suffer in secret.
But their suffering is not in vain.
Pope St. Pius X warned in Pascendi:
“The real friends of the people are not revolutionaries, but men of tradition.”
And it is these underground seminarians hidden but holy who are the true friends of the people. They suffer now, but they are the ones who will rebuild the ruins.
Segment 6: The Remnant Seminaries
Thanks be to God, all is not lost.
There are seminaries where truth, reverence, and holiness still reign:
🔹 Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary (FSSP)
🔹 St. Philip Neri Seminary (ICKSP)
Here, seminarians are trained in the Latin Mass, chant the Divine Office, learn the fullness of Thomistic philosophy, and are immersed in the sacrificial spirit of the priesthood.
These priests will not appease the world they will convert it.
They will not mingle truth with error they will proclaim Christ crucified.
And as they are ordained, Rome trembles. Because they are the future.
Segment 7: A Warning and a Call to Arms
Make no mistake. After silencing Traditionalists, modernist Rome will now silence all who still cling to doctrine whether they go to the Latin Mass or not.
This is about truth. About fidelity. About resisting the anti-Church within the Church.
St. Paul prophesied:
“The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine…” (2 Tim 4:3)
We are living that time.
Segment 8: What You Must Do
1. Pray and fast especially for priests and seminarians who are suffering in silence.
2. Support the remnant traditional seminaries, apostolates, and those fighting on the frontlines like Dr. Martin.
3. Speak the truth do not let fear muzzle your witness.
4. Expect persecution from the world and even from within the Church. But do not flee.
The Traditional Latin Mass may be hidden, the faithful may be few, but Christ reigns.
The Immaculate Heart will triumph.
Epistle – Wisdom 10:17–20 (Douay-Rheims)
“She rendered to the just the wages of their labors, conducted them in a wonderful way, and was to them for a cover by day, and for the light of stars by night:
And she brought them through the Red Sea, and carried them through a great water.
But their enemies she drowned in the sea, and from the depth of hell she brought them out.
Therefore the just took the spoils of the wicked.
And they sung to thy holy name, O Lord, and they praised with one accord thy victorious hand.”
Reflection on the Epistle:
The sacred writer speaks of Divine Wisdom, the eternal Logos guiding the people of Israel from slavery to freedom. This Wisdom is more than mere knowledge it is the ordering of all things unto God’s glory, and the defense of His faithful against the enemies of salvation.
The Red Sea is not merely historical. For us, it represents the waters of Baptism, where God delivers us from the slavery of sin and drowns our spiritual enemies. God does not merely liberate He brings us out with power, with signs, with light, with victory.
Yet take note: this triumph follows labor, suffering, and faithfulness. The just labor in hope, not in vain. The world may mock our fidelity to Tradition, our love for the ancient Mass, our defense of objective truth but God sees all and will vindicate His remnant, as He always has.
Gospel – Luke 21:9–19 (Douay-Rheims)
“And when you shall hear of wars and seditions, be not terrified: these things must first come to pass, but the end is not yet presently.
Then He said to them: Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
And there shall be great earthquakes in divers places, and pestilences, and famines, and terrors from heaven; and there shall be great signs.
But before all these things, they will lay their hands upon you, and persecute you...
And it shall happen unto you for a testimony...
In your patience you shall possess your souls.”
Reflection on the Gospel:
These are chilling words from Our Lord. He does not promise ease. He does not assure temporal peace. He declares that tribulation, persecution, and betrayal will be the portion of His followers.
“You shall be betrayed… you shall be hated… but not a hair of your head shall perish.”
What a paradox! Betrayed, hated, even martyred yet not a hair shall perish?
Because Christ speaks in eternal terms. What matters is the soul. And in that soul, the one who endures and remains faithful possesses life everlasting. "In your patience, you shall possess your souls." What is patience? It is steadfastness, rooted in trust. It is not passive resignation but heroic endurance in the name of Truth.
This is where today’s Saints guide us powerfully.
Saints of the Day:
Ss. Nazarius and Celsus, Martyrs
Today, we remember the youthful martyrs Nazarius and Celsus, whose relics were discovered by St. Ambrose in the 4th century. Nazarius, a Christian from birth, was bold in preaching the Gospel during the reign of Nero, while Celsus, a mere boy, followed him into death. These martyrs remind us that fidelity to Christ is not about age or prestige it is about conviction, a love for the truth stronger than fear of death.
St. Victor I, Pope and Martyr
We also honor Pope St. Victor I, the first African pope, who vigorously defended Church discipline and unity in the 2nd century. He is remembered for insisting on the universality of the Roman tradition of celebrating Easter and for opposing heresies that threatened the Faith. He suffered martyrdom under Emperor Septimius Severus, bearing witness to the primacy of Peter and the unchanging deposit of faith.
St. Innocent I, Pope and Confessor
And lastly, St. Innocent I, a pope of heroic virtue and clarity, who ruled during the sack of Rome by Alaric in 410. Despite the chaos around him, Innocent remained firm in defending the rights of the Church and the authority of the Roman See. His clarity helped affirm Rome’s central role as the guardian of doctrine, even in times of political collapse.
Bringing it All Together:
Dear faithful, in today’s chaos wars, scandals, natural disasters, and spiritual confusion the words of Scripture and the example of the Saints call us not to despair, but to resolve.
God does not abandon His people, though the Church may seem scattered and Rome corrupted. Just as He led the Israelites through the Red Sea, and just as He gave wisdom to martyrs in the arena and Popes in exile, so too will He guide His faithful remnant today if we remain humble, steadfast, and patient.
We are not alone. We stand in the shadow of Saints who loved Christ unto death, who did not flee the cross but embraced it with trust, knowing it leads to resurrection.
Concluding Prayer:
Let us now pray.
O God, who didst glorify Thy holy martyrs Nazarius and Celsus with youthful courage, and didst adorn Thy holy Popes Victor and Innocent with zeal for the truth and unwavering love for Thy Church, grant us, through their intercession, the grace to endure the trials of our time with purity of faith and constancy of hope.
Preserve us from the lies of the world, the errors of modernism, and the cowardice of compromise. Let us walk always under Thy victorious hand, as the Israelites through the sea, trusting not in ourselves, but in Thy Providence.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end. Amen.
Ss. Nazarius and Celsus… pray for us.
St. Victor I… pray for us.
St. Innocent I… pray for us.
Our Lady, Destroyer of Heresies… pray for us.
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
