BWC: Officer shoots man who raised object believed to be a gun, later identified as a knife

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — St. Louis County police released body-camera footage from an officer-involved shooting of a man who raised a knife toward an officer, First Alert 4 reported.

The May 26 incident began when a Hazelwood police officer responded to the scene and encountered a person walking away from a home carrying a bag. The individual told the officer he had been “hit with a gun,” video shows.
