What’s Coming Out of My Mouth?

By Pastor Gary Wayne

Text: Romans 10:17, Romans 12:2

Sometimes it’s hard to walk in faith because all our life we have relied on our physical senses to tell us what is true.
The Missouri motto – “I’ll believe it when I see it.”

What happens when we say out of our mouth the Word of God?
Romans 10:17 When I say with my mouth the Word of God I am building faith.

It may seem like this isn’t a very big action, but Neurologists tell us it takes 90% of our brain to say one word.
It takes 10% to do jumping jacks.
Jumping up and down looks like a harder job, but saying one word is 9 times more powerful than jumping up and down.

Every cell in the tongue has to have a neuron to energize it in the brain.
When we say one word that’s the truth, you hear it right away.
DEEP TRUTH – Do you realize you hear everything you say? – My body, soul & spirit.
And what I say out of my mouth has a profound effect on me.

Rom. 12:2 In the Greek, transformed = metamorphosis.
How does a caterpillar get inside the cocoon? It wraps itself up with what comes out of its mouth. Then metamorphosis - transformation happens.

When I encounter a problem, if I say Phil.4:13, that action, and the reward comes immediately.

Let’s talk about learning.
If I do something and I am rewarded for it, I am more likely to do it again.
Every time I do it, and there is a reward, there is a measure of reinforcement.

If I want my faith built up, I need to keep doing – speaking actions of Faith.
When I go through pressure, I need to learn to say, “It is written – no trial will come to me that is too hard for me… It is written.”
When I preach to myself God’s word, and every time I say it, I hear it and I’m instantly rewarded.

I am speaking Faith, Building Faith, Re-enforcing Faith.
