How to Activate & Deactivate the Control Lock on Your Washer & Dryer-Date: 6/23/2021

In this video I show you how to activate and deactivate the control lock. This lock is also often called the "Child Lock."

On my particular machines, this lock is an extra option shared by another function/option. In this case it is shared with the Rinse & Spin option. To activate and/or deactivate the control lock, hold the button for at least 3 seconds until you hear the chime, (You might not hear the chime if you have the signal sound turned off.)

If your machines are a different brand, read your owners manual to learn how to activate and deactivate the lock on your particular machine. If you don't have your owners manual, you should be able to find a copy on your manufactures website.

All 3 of my machines including my washer, pedestal washer and my dryer all have the control/child lock on them
