The Battle of Waterloo 1815AD #history

June 18th, 1815… on a muddy field in Belgium, Napoleon’s empire died.
They call it Waterloo.
But it was more than a battle. It was the day Europe turned.
After escaping exile, Napoleon rose once more. But waiting for him was the Seventh Coalition British under the Duke of Wellington, and Prussians under old Blücher.
The rain poured the night before. The field turned to sludge.
Napoleon delayed his attack… and that gave the Prussians time.
With 73,000 men, he charged. The British held 68,000.
But in the distance… 45,000 Prussians marched to war.
The farm at Hougoumont held strong wave after wave of French soldiers broke on its walls.
Then came the final blow: Napoleon’s elite Old Guard charged…
…And were turned back.
The myth shattered. The French fled.
And Napoleon’s star fell forever.
He was exiled to Saint Helena, where he died in silence.
Waterloo ended more than a war.
It ended an era.
And from its ashes, a new Europe was born.
