Rapid Fat Loss Update: Week Three

Here's an update after the 3rd week of Rapid Fat Loss. This week did not see the same amount of fat loss. I did lose just over a half a pound. I'm not disappointed with that amount, but I would have expected a larger loss after losing an average of 1.5 pounds. There may also be a few explanations for this discrepancy.

It can be difficult to stay consistent when dieting for long periods of time. Luckily, there are some strategies that can help us to maintain that consistency. The higher carb and calorie intake on the weekend is one helpful strategy. These days also allow me to add some different foods into the plan and not feel deprived. Diet breaks are another tool that I will be using after next week.

Our bodies adapt to whatever we do. It will adapt by becoming more efficient and using less to accomplish the goal. In the case of dieting, this means it will be more efficient at accomplishing tasks and burn less calories.

BEWARE of people who promise outlandish results. If it sounds too goood to be true....well,...it is. We can't lose 30 pounds of fat in two day. The physics just don't work that way. Also, BEWARE of people who have something to sell and are using fear as a "motivation" technique.
