Shooting At Gas Light Bar In Downtown Anchorage, Alaska On July 20, 2025

Shooting at Gaslight Bar in Anchorage, Alaska on 7/20/25. Security armed with a rifle takes out shooter.

As per Anchorage Police Department:
DATE/TIME OF INCIDENT: ​July 20,2025 02:50 hours​

CURRENT STATUS: Case Update - 02:14 PM July 20, 2025

UPDATE 7/21/25: The adult male who was pronounced deceased at the scene has been identified as 23-year-old Leroy Manogiamanu. Next-of-kin procedures have been completed.

UPDATED NARRATIVE: At 2:50 AM on July 20, 2025, officers responded to the 700 block of W 4th Ave in reference to a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found 3 victims, 1 with non-life-threatening injuries, 1 with life-threatening injuries; a deceased adult male victim was located. Medics arrived and transported the victims to the hospital. A fourth victim was later located with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Crime Scene Team has responded to process the scene.
