Our High Priest; Mark 15:16-20

They thought they were destroying Jesus. Instead, they fulfilled prophecy.

In clothing Christ with purple, crowning Him with thorns, and stripping Him for sacrifice, the Romans unknowingly reenacted the ancient tabernacle rituals.

Jesus became our:
• Tabernacle - God dwelling with us
• Sacrifice - The spotless Lamb
• High Priest - Mediating on our behalf

What looked like defeat was actually victory. Through the cross, Jesus paid our debt of sin so we could have eternal life.

'Repent and believe in the gospel.' - Jesus (Mark 1:15)
