Washing Stuffed Animals Using the "Towels" Wash Cycle-Date: 11/29/2020

I washed some Christmas stuffed animals in my front load washer. This is in real time. I used the "Towels" wash cycle to wash them. I used the Towels cycle because it puts more water into the tub than the heavy duty cycle or the normal cycle does which is handy when washing items that absorb lots of water. The bedding and towels cycle are similar in that they add more water to the tub for items that tend to absorb a lot of water. The difference is the Towels cycle allows for a longer spin than the bedding cycle is. It is better to use a front load washer for items like this not just because the agitator can tear them apart. But because these types of items tend to float on top of the water in a top load washer. In a front load washer, they get rolled through the water giving you a better wash.

I used the "Towels" wash cycle with the "Normal" soil setting, low speed spin and 1 extra rinse. The towels cycle does 3 regular rinses.

I used the low speed spin because the faster spin speeds can cause stuffed animals to explode.
