How to Protect Your Expensive Equipment from Power Surges-Date: 11/19/2020

In this video I give you some tips and advice and show you how to protect your expensive equipment from things like power surges. We need to keep in mind that a lot of things these days contain sensitive electronics in them. It is more important than ever to protect your stuff as much as possible. I have a whole house surge protector as well as surge protectors on all of my sensitive stuff. I installed the whole house surge protector so I can protect thing like my electric dryer and stove. But it is also a bonus that it protects everything. Keep in mind you still need the small ones that are connected to your computer and other things because the whole house surge protector doesn't protect your equipment from surges that are caused inside your home. Plus they can stop any surge that gets by the whole house one.

Caution: If you do decide to add a whole house surge protector, you may want to hire an electrician to have it installed because it attaches right you your service panel which means you will have to take the cover off of your circuit breaker panel to install and hook it up.
