Set Your Face Like A Flint
(Learning To and Staying In Focus)
Text: Isaiah 50

Objective: that we may learn to how to focus and stayed focus on the Lord

Intro:
-Read the whole chapter
-Focus - v. to cause to be concentrated

to bring into focus ; to adjust the focus of
Proverbs 4:25-right on
Flint - A hard kind of stone
illus. concentrate, focus

Be In Focus
1. By Having Stability - in Life, have a good foundation - v. 1

broken family, financially broken, criminal records will ruin stability
care of this world - luke 10

2. By Knowing the Lord is All Powerful - He can do all things vv. 2-3
Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

3. By Learning - v. 4

the right timing - 'in season'; the right word
v. 7 - 'not be confounded'

4. By Not Rebelling against God - v.5

5. By Trusting the Lord even in hard times and persecution - v. 6

He will help you - v. 7
I shall not be ashamed - will not be disappointed -victory
Heb 12: 1-2 - look to Jesus

Message/conclusion:

The Lord is able to Help us in times of need, learn to trust Him always
Focus on the things He is leading us to do.
