How to Clean Washer Drain Pump Lint Trap on LG Front Load Washers-Date: 10/1/2020

This is a short video to show you how to clean the built in drain pump lint trap on the LG washers that have them. LG calls it a lint trap. But most of the 99.9% of the lint is able to pass through it and gets washed down the drain just fine. It's main function is to help prevent the larger debris from getting into the drainage pump and causing damage. According to the owners manual, the washer has a flow sensor in the drain. If your washer won't drain or drains slow, first start by checking this lint trap to see if it may be full or clogged. You might also be able to peer into the pump opening to see if anything may be stuck inside or up against the opening pump opening.
