HAYES: “Jamelle Bouie is an opinion columnist for The New York Times. Brandy Zadrozny is a senior Reporter for MSNBC covering the Epstein fallout in the MAGA verse. And they join me. Now, let me start with you. You had a great column on, on on jd Vance, the role he’s played in this administration, and particularly as this kind of factotum, you know, for Donald Trump, the sort of constant apologist to sort of, you know, he’s the one who comes out and defends him. When Trump says it’s fake, he comes out, this is BS. What do you think about the fact they have now committed to this notion, to the tune of a $10 billion lawsuit that, like the entire thing, is fabricated?”

BOUIE: “I find it so bizarre I mean, I honestly find this approach, the approach of many Republicans defending the president to be so strange because it Is Just documented. Fact that Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein had a long, friendly relationship. They were good friends In fact Given the evidence we have about the relationship. You can make A Good case that Jeffrey Epstein is one of a handful of people that Trump considered To be. A genuine friend It’s so for the vice president to say, well, this is all fake. This is all fake news dribbling out all these fake details. You were right, Chris, to suggest the vice president that he should Google his boss. Like this is just known information about the president. And really, the question for me is why this wasn’t litigated in the previous 2 or 3 elections he was in. Why are we now? Why is this now a scandal when it’s been in the public record For A while”
