#GhislaineMaxwell's lawyer #DavidMarkus told reporters after his client's second day of interview with Deputy Attorney General #ToddBlanche that Maxwell had been questioned about "probably 100 people" (even though there was no "client list") and that she had answered "every possible question." When asked about #PresidentTrump, he said, "I'm not going to talk about the substance."

Markus told the media that his client had endured "terrible, awful conditions for five years, "adding that he and Maxwell were "grateful for this opportunity to finally say what really happened." Maxwell has appealed her case to the Supreme Court, but the Court has not decided whether it will hear the case yet.

"Despite the existence of a non-prosecution agreement promising in plain language that the United States would not prosecute any co-conspirator of Jeffrey Epstein, the United States in fact prosecuted Ghislaine Maxwell as a co-conspirator of Jeffrey Epstein," Markus wrote in a petition for a writ of certiorari to the Supreme Court in April.

Markus told reporters, "We just ask that folks, look at what she has to say with an open mind, and that's what Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche has promised us, and everything she says can be corroborated, and she's telling the truth."

Epstein's case has recently made headlines after the DOJ and the FBI said there is no "client list" of individuals linked to Epstein and no further disclosure would be appropriate or warranted. Epstein, a financier and convicted sex offender, was found dead at New York's Metropolitan Correctional Center in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. His death was ruled a suicide. And many people think Ghislaine Maxwell was put on trial in his place

1993 to 1997 - Per flight logs, Trump flew on Epstein’s private jets 7 times. Years later in 2017 the journalist Michael Wolff interviewed Epstein who claimed that during that the time he “was Donald’s closest friend for 10 years.” Epstein said that he and Trump frequently picked up women together in Atlantic City casinos.

1998 - The following year Epstein purchased a private island in the US Virgin Islands. Trump was never there.

2000 - 16-year-old Virginia Giuffre was working as a pool attendant at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club when Maxwell offered her a job as Epstein’s masseuse. Giuffre alleged that, over the ensuing two years (unbeknownst to Trump) Epstein and Maxwell then groomed her to have sex with wealthy and influential men, including Prince Andrew of the British royal family and O.J. Simpson's lawyer, #AlanDershowitz. Donald Trump was never implicated.

2003 The Epstein birthday book (the current media folklore)

2004 Trump bans Epstein from his properties after learning about Epstein's sexual assault of Virginia Giuffre (Some suspect Trump himself may have reported him.)

2005 The Epstein investigation begins. Bill and Hillary Clinon went to Donald Trump and Melania Trump's wedding

2006 Epstein was arrested at an airport in New Jersey while returning from Paris and charged in Florida.

2008 - The Epstein case was resolved in what was later derided as a sweetheart plea deal. The prosecutor (who was later Trump's Secretary of Labor) said Epstein worked for the CIA and had ties to Mossad through Maxwell's father. (Still undetermined.)

2009 - Epstein’s victims pressed their case in CIVIL lawsuits. An attorney for the victims, Brad Edwards, said he sought information from various Epstein acquaintances. Very few were willing to talk voluntarily, but Trump was — and Edwards said he was “very helpful in the information that he gave.” In a court filing, Edwards asserted that Trump banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago “because Epstein sexually assaulted an underage girl at the club.” (Virginia Giuffre)

2010 - Epsetin and Maxwell went to Chelsea Clinton's wedding (Trump wasn't there)

2019 - Epstein arrested again and sentenced for sex trafficking and kills himself 30 days later while waiting for an appeal.

2020 - Ghislaine Maxwell was charged by Audrey Strauss, the Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York (The Attorney General of New York was Letitia James. Bill de Blasio was mayor and Cyrus Vance Jr. was the New York County District Attorney)

2022 - Maxwell sentenced to 20 years in prison under Alvin Bragg as the New York County District Attorney and Letitia James as New York Attorney General

2025 - Virginia Giuffre kills herself; Trump's deputy AG meets with Maxwell in Florida jail.

DOJ: "Todd Blanche took a full day [8 hours] and asked a lot of questions. Miss Maxwell answered every single question. She never stopped. She never invoked a privilege. She never declined to answer. She answered all the questions truthfully, honestly and to the best of her ability." The meeting came as Maxwell is reportedly compiling new evidence pertaining to alleged government misconduct stemming from her 2021 trial to hand over to the Department of Justice (DOJ), her brother, Ian Maxwell, confirmed. "She will be putting before that court material new evidence that was not available to the defense at her 2021 trial, which would have had a significant impact on its outcome," he told The New York Post. She has long been regarded as a key figure in Epstein’s criminal empire, often seen alongside him at social events. During her 2021 trial, Maxwell did not testify in her own defense and never provided her version of events to federal prosecutors leading up to the proceedings.
