Warwick Triangle, also known as Warwick Junction, is a bustling transportation and trading hub in central Durban, South Africa, often described as the largest and most authentic African market of its kind in the country. It’s located near Berea Road Station and the N3 highway, serving as the city’s primary public transport interchange for rail, taxi, and bus services. Around 460,000 commuters pass through daily, alongside 5,000 to 8,000 informal and formal traders operating in nine distinct markets. These markets offer a vibrant mix of goods, including traditional Zulu beadwork, spears, shields, clothing, fresh produce, traditional medicine, and impepho (incense used in ancestral rituals). Notable markets include the Victoria Street Market (founded in 1910, with 180 traders selling jewelry, spices, and art), the Bead Market, the Impepho and Lime Market, and the Early Morning Market.
