Shame on Ashbourne community centre for denying bereaved and injured people a safe place to meet

Since May 2022, WakeUpéiRe has been informing the public about the harms of Covid-19 injection, handing out factual sheets with data backed studies on the streets all over Ireland. In late 2024, some volunteers started coffee mornings for people injured or bereaved by the C-19 injection, in different locations.
For the upcoming meeting, 9th August 2025, volunteers booked and paid for the room in Ashbourne community centre, and released a promo video. Soon after the video release, volunteers were contacted by the Ashbourne centre employee, Tom (refused to give his surname) informing that the booking was cancelled. Tom refused to give an explanation for the cancellation.
Meath is the constituency of Mr. P. Tóibín, leader of Aontú, which of late has made some public actions so as to appear as relevant players in the issue if C-19-injection injuries. In June 2025, WakeUpéiRe volunteers had publicly read a letter to his sister, hospital pharmacist, Ms M. Tóibín and Aontú in Dún Laoghaire. You can see our letter reading: https://www.wakeupeire.com/2025/07/01/wakeupeire-volunteers-read-an-open-letter-to-irish-political-party-aontu-and-the-toibin-family/

After the unapologetic cancellation by Ashbourne employee Tom, volunteers Edel and Michelle went to meet Tom who we presume is the manager of the centre, so as to seek an explanation as to why Ashbourne community centre is refusing to accommodate the group of C-19 bereaved and injured people. Both community centre employees were hostile and uncompromising, refusing to justify the cancellation. It is our opinion that Tom received orders from external entities who do not want WakeUpéiRe to offer our support and empathy to those who are suffering in silence.
If you do not agree with this unjustified cancellation by Ashbourne community centre, we urge you to contact them, and the local Co. Meath political representatives to express your opinion.
