In a small South Korean village, Mayumi appears to be a kind woman living alone, but she harbors a dark secret: she is a Roku, cursed with an impossibly long neck that roams the night. When traveler Haruto encounters her floating head, he runs in fear, alerting the villagers. Confronted by their terror, Mayumi is forced to leave her home, disappearing into the woods, forever haunted by her curse.
