Raffensperger has urged returning Frost-related donations to aid victims, amplifying the scandal’s political fallout.

GAGOP Chairman Josh McKoon, closely linked to the Frosts, returned donations only after Brant IV invoked the Fifth Amendment, drawing criticism for delayed action. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution underscores the Frost-GAGOP connection, while Democrats, led by Rep. David Scott, criticize the SEC’s oversight failures. The scandal threatens McKoon’s leadership, which depends on Governor Brian Kemp’s support, amid a contentious 2026 election cycle. Kemp’s backing of Derek Dooley for Senate, despite Dooley’s rumored Democratic voting history, has sparked tensions with MAGA-aligned candidates like Mike Collins. The GAGOP’s financial instability and failure to decisively address the Frost ties risk a “trainwreck,” with Raffensperger’s subpoena power potentially targeting the party next, as public outrage grows over the Frosts’ actions.

Everyday there is something new in the $140M Ponzi scheme. The first legal claim is against First Liberty Building and Loan. Brant IV, Brant V and Katie Frost all three work at the company. They did it under the guise of christianity, conservative, and America First. They are so intertwined in the GOP all across the United States. It is a trainwreck for GA politics. Instead of making amends, Brant V starts a new lending firm. State regulators have subpoenaed Brant Frost V –the son of the founder of First Liberty Building & Loan – after he launched a new lending firm amid a sweeping federal fraud investigation into his family financial firm. Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s securities division issued a subpoena Thursday seeking compensation agreements, business records and bank statesman tied to Frost’s new firm, Heartland Capital. Brad Raffensperger is playing this to its fullest.
Josh McKoon and Salleigh Grubbs had a master plan and it is falling apart. The other day Josh cut a check to the Receiver and released a statement and his supporters put the angel wings on Josh. There should have been a complete sever of ties immediately from the Frost family by the GAGOP. Josh released the statement 10 days after the receiver was put in place. The only reason they made the decision to give the money back until Brant IV pleaded the fifth and the receiver released his first status report. The executive committee, chairman and state committee should have ended everything they had with the Frost family. When Josh was in the state senate use to come out of the Gold Dome everyday. Every article the AJC writes they have that one paragraph to let everyone know that the Frost family is tied to the GAGOP.
Democrats are going to pick someone to the chair of the SEC accusing the agency of failing to detect the Ponzi scheme. David Scott is the guy, he is a US representative and from Georgia. He wrote a letter to say that they didn’t protect the people. The letter asks SEC chair Paul Atkins to answer questions about its investigation of FLBL and detail how the agency plans to help victims recover their investments. “This is not just a case of regulatory failure, it is a betrayal of the trust that everyday investors place in our financial system and the institutions tasked with protecting them, " wrote Scott, an Atlanta democrat who is on the House financial services committee.
The Frost and the GA GOP, Josh McKoon, Salleigh Grubbs and others are tight and they don’t know how to separate and it will get bad.

Michael Whatley is running for NC Senate … Michael Whatley was working to help Josh McKoon to be the next RNC chairman. Josh worked very strongly with Turning point action. Charlie Kirk worked to get the next chair to be very Turning Point action friendly. But Donald Trump said to Josh it is not going to happen. Remember during the rigged campaign that Josh was the superbowl coach. There was a plan in place but the good people, the fighters that will not stop made sure that the fight to expose the corruption at the convention and this catastrophe with the Frost everything fell apart for Josh. Josh did not want to be GAGOP chair. Josh’s job hinges on Brian Kemp and a republican keeping the job. Josh McKoon is going to back Burt Jones for Governor. But if Chris Carr or Brad Raffensperger win they will find someone better to do Josh’s job.
Republicans need Keisha Lance Bottoms to be the democrat candidate for governor. Because Jason Esteves is normal, looks like someone you can trust. He is talking to the families, hard working families. Brian Kemp is going to get so far in the way that he will screw everything up. Jason will not keep Josh in the job.
There will be people going after Josh 7 days a week and if the wrong person gets elected Josh will lose his job. Josh has to do everything he can to show neutrality. Officially you don’t have Brian Kemp's pick for governor. You will have 3-4 candidates for Lt Governor. You have Kelvin King and Tim Fleming for SOS and we hear Gabe Sterling will also run. For the senate you have Buddy Carter, Kemp’s candidate and Mike Collins.
There is a lot of talk about the finances of the GAGOP. It is not solid and is about to explode. This was not Josh’s plan.
In the governors race you have Burt Jones (Lt governor) and Chris Carr (attorney general). Burt Jones wears the hat. Rumors are that Brad will put his hat in and you haven’t heard from MTG. The race is not set because you don’t see Brian Kemp’s candidate yet.
Now Brian Kemp appointed John King as insurance commissioner. King was the first to put his name in the Senate bid. King is loyal to Kemp. He is pro Trump and pro Kemp and Kemp stabs him in the back. John King exits Senate race amid push by Kemp to shape the field. King is very angry and is back to run for insurance commissioner. Kemp is putting his support behind Derek Dooley, Vince Dooley’s son. Kemp thinks he can Tommy Tubberville Derek. What until people find out that Derek Dooley voted for Barack Obama twice and he is a democrat? Did you really think that Brian Kemp would have respect for Donald Trump? Everytime there has been a serious something taken place Brian Kemp will go his way despite Doanld Trump.
Kemp is laying the groundwork for Dooley’s campaign. Kemp also called Buddy Carter and Mike Collins to tell them he won’t support their campaigns. The pressure campaign underscores Kemp’s desire to avoid a messy GOP brawl in one of the nation’s most closely watched Senate races. Now you are not a candidate until you qualify. Buddy Carter could go in to qualify for the congressmen seat in the 1st district. BKP's gut feeling is that Mike Collins is going to be Trump’s pick. Remember the Lakin Riley’s act that Trump signed into law, Mike Collins wrote. Carter who is self-financing his campaign. Kemp pushes to clear the field as Dooley enters the race. It will be again Brian Kemp against Donald Trump.
Collins is trying to seize the MAGA lane, while Dooley prepares a more mainstream GOP race with help from Kemp’s advisors. Kemp has never been MAGA and is part of de-MAGA-nfying America. McKoon has to do everything that Kemps says.
