B602 – Jul 20, 2025 Take Up Your Cross

Yeshua tells believers in the New Testament that if they are serious about becoming His disciples, they must be willing to take up their cross and follow Him.

In this Bible study we look at what it means to “Take up Your Cross” and why the church world has spent a great deal of energy trying to replace its non-Biblical definition of the Cross, with the hardships of daily life.

Dying to your wants and desires is what must happen daily in the life of a Disciple of Yeshua. True disciples must make God’s Will and Plans first and foremost a priority in their lives, and that must be a conscious decision that is made every day in their lives.

The Cross of Yeshua is a stumbling block to the Hebrew people and to everyone else, it is foolishness to think about Yehovah sending His Son to die in place of selfish, wicked people.

Forsaking your family, friends, money, and fame are all required to serve Yeshua as disciples. Many believers think that serving Yehovah is just about getting blessed by Him and have no clue that their service to God starts with meekness and a humble heart.

Trust in Yehovah with all of your heart and do not trust in your own abilities. Cry out to Yeshua and accept His free gift of redemption for your life, and be filled with the Holy Spirit of Yehovah. Trust in the Plan that will never fail!
