Epstein Files Flip-Flop: Trump Promised Transparency — Then Buried the Truth

📝The Trump administration has been caught in a web of contradictions over the Jeffrey Epstein scandal:

• Once promising full disclosure, the White House reversed course—claiming the files were fake news and refusing to release grand jury transcripts.

• In July 2025, DOJ and FBI issued a memo stating there was no evidence of a client list, closing the investigation without releasing substantive new documents.

• Trump claimed he was unaware of the controversy and dismissed it as a “witch hunt,” shifting blame to Obama and Democrats.

• Attorney General Pam Bondi initially suggested the full files were under review—and later insisted she only meant general paperwork.

• A federal judge denied Trump’s request to unseal grand jury transcripts, citing lack of ongoing proceedings.

• Critics and many Trump allies, including state officials, now accuse his team of covering up vital evidence, betraying the transparency his base was promised.

What was billed as a campaign promise for accountability has turned into a political whitewash.

Rolling back anti-trafficking efforts and refusing to appoint a special prosecutor further deepened the crisis.

As more revelations emerge—like purported FBI contact lists and Trump’s alleged mentions in Epstein documents—his narrative continues to collapse.

This is not transparency—it’s deception.
Justice was delayed, victims retraced, and public trust sacrificed.

The Epstein cover-up reflects the rot behind the rhetoric.
