Turki Alashikh has announced via X that David Benavidez will make his Riyadh Season debut in November, when he defends the WBC light heavyweight world title against dangerous challenger Anthony Yarde.

The show is titled this way because Benavidez let it be known he's a Vegas fighter and will not fight in Saudi Arabia. When Artur Beterbiev faced off against Dimitry Bivol in Saudi Arabia, David was nowhere to be found.

He showed up at the event and left before the main event. Samson Lewkowitz says David would not fight Dmitry Bivol in Saudi Arabia. Sampson said he would never fight in Saudi Arabia because it lacks a boxing atmosphere.

He said that back in March. Fast-forward to July, and Benavidez and Sampson are singing a different tune. I wonder why? People like Timothy Bardley call it bending the knee.

Top Bayless calls it twerking for the Turk. Either way, David has changed his mind. Do you know why? Because David has nowhere to go. There are no in-house fighters at the PBC; he can fight in the Light Heavyweight division.

When all the chickens you want to fight are across the street, you have a decision to make. Rolly Romero, Isaac Cruz, El Rayo, and David Benavidez bowed down to the Turk.

Do you feel Benavidez bent the knee to Turki Alashikh? Or do you believe David didn't have a choice?
