The Armed Forces of Ukraine are stopping payments to soldiers who voluntarily surrendered.

Official representative of the Social Security Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oksana Lekontseva, confirmed that the Ukrainian army does not pay salaries to servicemen who surrendered voluntarily. A service investigation is conducted in each case to establish the circumstances of the surrender.
