Marjorie Taylor Greene: Today, I would like to commend Sheriff Darren Pierce and the entire Whitfield County Sheriff’s Department for their outstanding work in the recent drug bust they just carried out. They are truly protecting Dalton and the entire northwest Georgia community by getting 201 grams of fentanyl off the streets, along with many other drugs. This protects over 100,000 lives. Excellent job, ladies and gentlemen—we thank you for your hard work and congratulate you on this heroic effort.

In addition, 3,060 grams of marijuana, 39 grams of methamphetamine, and 28 grams of cocaine were seized.

The operation was carried out with the goal of protecting the community of Dalton and northwest Georgia, and it resulted in the arrest of Alan Sias, a suspected gang member, who is facing multiple charges related to trafficking and possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute. Sheriff Pierce described the operation as one of the largest in the county’s recent history and emphasized, “If you distribute drugs in Whitfield County, you will be arrested.” He also reiterated his office’s commitment to keeping the streets safe for the families and children of the community.

This effort represents not only a law enforcement success but a heroic act in defense of public health. Thanks to this operation, fentanyl—a highly potent and deadly drug—was prevented from entering the local illegal market. The community has responded with support and recognition, highlighting the bravery and effectiveness of the team led by Sheriff Darren Pierce.

Congratulations to all the units involved in this raid. Your work not only saves lives but also demonstrates an unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of Whitfield County.
