Koi Pond

I have 2 Koi ponds, this one is working and Solar Powered. I am using the EF ECOFLOW Delta 2 MAX. I have 2 of them with 2 Back Up Batteries. Why? Well its my 1st set-up of going Solar and I really didn't like the thought of putting all my eggs in one basket. That is, if I had just one Solar Power set-up, and it goes out for any reason, well with this many Koi in this 1700 gallon pond would more than likely do damage to the fish. Thousands of dollars would be at stake. I have air stones/air pumps on either Power plant. So if one goes, the fish are still getting air from the other Delta 2 Max. Where I live in Southern California, we get June Gloom. For a minimum of 2 months every morning is cloudy and the sun doesn't come out until 10 AM at the soonest. My electric bill, last month for June was 500 dollars, oh yeah, compute that out to 6 grand a year in electricity. At the very worst, I'll have to supplement my Solar ponds with a quick charge from the main line. That I can do easily. Where ever electricity is expensive well I suggest one goes with Solar. I can't imagine some people's electric bill will all these massive pumps and water falls. If this works out, and I start having sunny mornings, well then I won't have to supplement my Solar charge with expensive main line electricity. This is my 1st attempt at using Solar power, and I think its going to work out fine. This is also my 1st attempt at using ClipChamp so hang in there. Since I'm waiting for the Rubberized paint to dry before I add water, I thought I'd try getting a video going on this pond. More to come, please 'Follow' me if you are interested. I plan on covering every aspect of owning a Koi pond, including the type of pump, air stones, and the actual creation of designing of a Koi pond. I will plan on doing many videos on this subject including what to look for in Buying Koi. So for now, enjoy 40 minutes of just looking at Koi swimming around. Cheers!
