Gameplay Part 2

Dying Light is a 2015 survival horror video game developed by Techland and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game's story follows undercover agent Kyle Crane who is sent to infiltrate a quarantine zone in a fictional Middle Eastern city called Harran. It features an enemy-infested, open world city with a dynamic day–night cycle, in which zombies are slow and clumsy during daytime and extremely aggressive at night. The gameplay is focused on weapons-based combat and parkour, allowing players to choose fight or flight when presented with dangers.

In this playthrough we cover:

Mission 04: Pact with Rais:
With the Tower running dangerously low on antizin, Crane is pressured into making contact with Rais—the ruthless gang leader controlling supply drops in Harran. Despite knowing Rais is actually Kadir Suleiman, the traitor behind the outbreak, Crane pretends to be just another desperate survivor. He heads to Rais’s base, a heavily guarded compound crawling with armed thugs. Rais offers Crane a single vial of antizin—not as a show of goodwill, but as bait. He demands Crane work for him, completing violent, degrading tasks to "earn" more doses.

Kyle’s first task is to restore communication by activating several radio towers around the Slums. Crane travels through dangerous zones, climbing high towers filled with infected and risking falls to re-establish contact. Once that’s done, Rais sends Crane to collect tribute payments from various survivor enclaves across the city. Some comply reluctantly, while others require intimidation or direct confrontation. The mission reveals Rais’s brutal grip on the city and the fear he instills in the local survivors. It’s also clear he has no intention of handing over the Antizin without further games.

Mission 05: Siblings (Part 1):
Kyle Crane teams up with Jade Aldemir to investigate a local public school believed to be housing a stash of Antizin. Upon entering the school, they find it overrun by Rais’s men, not infected. The mission shifts from a medical supply run to a dangerous infiltration, as they fight their way through armed thugs and booby-trapped hallways. Inside, they discover that the Antizin was a ruse — Rais used the rumor to bait and ambush the Tower’s runners. Crane and Jade manage to escape after a fierce battle, but not before uncovering evidence of Rais’s twisted tactics and how far he’s willing to go to maintain control. After the school incident, Crane returns to the Tower, only to be pulled into a new task: hunting down a sample from a rare infected type called a Bolter, crucial for developing a cure.
