Revile: to disrespect in anger; to look down on someone insulting them through dissing; to slander and/or speak ill to someone, discrediting them, damaging their reputation; to speak hateful of someone in disgust, counting them worthless.

( Reviling has caused much harm, pain/hurt, turmoil and loss of lives. )

As the vapour and smoke of a furnace goeth before the fire; so reviling before blood. (Sir 22:24 KJA)
