They had everything.

Success. Security. Songs in the temple — their version of church.

But their hearts?
Far from Him.
They crushed the poor.
Turned worship into a show.
Played holy while ignoring the hurting.

And God said,
“I hate your songs. I won’t listen. Let justice roll like a river.”

Because He wasn’t just angry…
He was heartbroken.

He had loved them. Rescued them.
Given them everything.
But they forgot Him.

And though this was for Israel…
It sounds a lot like America, doesn’t it?
A nation blessed —
But drifting.
Worshiping —
But not living it.

So He sent Amos —
A shepherd. A no one.
To speak for the God who sees everything.

This was love that warns.
A storm that could still turn into mercy.

Even in judgment, God whispered hope:
“One day, I will restore. I will rebuild. I will call all people to Me.”

Because when God says “Enough”…
It’s not to cast you away.
It’s to call you home.
