Blazing Coals from Heaven | Psalm 11 Prophetic Blues Song

🔥"When the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?"
This isn't just a question from ancient times—it's a cry echoing in our world today.

Psalm 11 is a bold declaration of trust in Yahweh amid chaos, violence, and injustice. While the wicked prepare their arrows in secret, the faithful stand firm, not in their own strength, but in the sovereignty of the One enthroned in heaven. This song is a raw, prophetic blues rendering of that cry—resisting the urge to flee, refusing to cower when the world crumbles beneath our feet.

The righteous are tested, refined by fire. But the wicked? Their reward is judgment—blazing coals, sulfur, and scorching wind. This isn’t just poetry—it’s prophecy. And at the heart of it all lies the promise: “The upright shall see His face.”

Let this song stir your soul, steady your spirit, and remind you that though the world shakes, Yahweh does not.

📖 Original Scripture – Psalm 11 (WEB):

1 In Yahweh, I take refuge.
How can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain!”
2 For, behold, the wicked bend their bows.
They set their arrows on the strings, that they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.
3 If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?
4 Yahweh is in his holy temple. Yahweh is on his throne in heaven.
His eyes observe. His eyes examine the children of men.
5 Yahweh examines the righteous,
but his soul hates the wicked and him who loves violence.
6 On the wicked he will rain blazing coals; fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.
7 For Yahweh is righteous. He loves righteousness.
The upright shall see his face.

🎵 Lyrics – "Blazing Coals from Heaven" (based on Psalm 11)

[Intro – Slide guitar and soft organ swell]
“If the foundations crumble… what’s left for the righteous to stand on?”

[Verse 1]
I found my shelter in Yahweh's name,
But they tell me, “Run, boy—fly from flame.”
Like a sparrow scared, up to the mountain top,
But my soul won’t flee, I won’t let faith drop.

[Verse 2]
The wicked bend their bows in the night,
Hiding shadows, taking aim at the light.
Arrows drawn against the upright soul—
They think darkness can make the truth fold.

[Chorus]
(But I see Him…)
Yahweh’s on His throne, high in His place,
Eyes like fire, searching every face.
He sees the hearts, He weighs each man,
And He holds the world in His holy hand.

[Verse 3]
If the foundations are torn apart,
Where does that leave the pure in heart?
When law is twisted, and justice sleeps,
Still the Shepherd walks among His sheep.

[Bridge]
Yahweh tests the righteous, shapes the flame,
But He hates the love of violent gain.
Oh, judgment's coming like a storm of coals—
Fire and sulfur for corrupted souls.

[Chorus 2 – Slow and haunting]
(He sees it all…)
Rain of fire from heaven's cup,
For those who filled the world with blood.
Scorching wind will sweep their ground—
The proud will fall without a sound.

[Outro – soft echoing slide guitar and hush vocals]
But the upright...
Yes, the upright…
Will see His face…
Will see His face…
(And not be moved…)
