In the wake of the terrible tragedy at the Christian girls’ camp in Texas with the deadly floods, no doubt many in the secular world, as well as Christendom, have to be asking how God could allow such a thing? Where was God? These were Christians – His people. If He doesn’t protect them, is He even real? If so, He must be merciless to stand by and do nothing as 100+ adults and children died. What’s the point of following a God who is feckless and cruel?
