The Giant Caiman That Bit Harder Than T. Rex - Purussaurus

The Amazon is definitely home to some animals you would not want to run into, like the Anaconda or Jaguar, but the Amazon is actually surprisingly tame today than it was during the Miocene, as back then you had guys like the Purussaurus roaming around. This was a terrifying predator that was the largest caiman to ever exist, and one of the largest crocodilians period. It also had a unique skull that was almost shaped like a square and granted it one of the most deadly bites the world has ever seen.
