WNBA Players DEMAND a Pay Increase, But are They Worth It?

The WNBA All-Star Game became a call to action by the players to get paid what they are "owed." Wearing shirts with the phrase "Pay us what you owe us" for their shoot around prior to the game, it speaks to the solipsistic nature of the entire league. They lost $40 Million in 2024, historically have never turned a profit, and the one player lending them relevance, had to sit out the game because she was assaulted on the court once again.

Professional sports have and always will be a meritocracy. If you don't like it, tough, start an OF if you are that hard up for cash.
