Meet Tony Monahan, PhD, an artist, writer and professional educator at the City University of New York. He is also a turtle enthusiast and what began as a photography project quickly blossomed into a 46-month quest to chronicle turtle encounters in the US. The resulting product is the The Turtle Lovers’ Guidebook. This book takes you on a journey through 164 public sites across the United States where you can witness these fascinating creatures up close. Featuring over 500 stunning photographs that showcase more than 200 turtle species and subspecies, this book is a visual delight.
Tony would love to be a guest on the show to celebrate turtles and spread the word about the importance of turtle preservation. He can share some fun and interesting facts about turtles as well as highlight what we can do to help these animals thrive.
