A dung beetle — known to the world by this very name — wakes up early in the morning, drawn to the smell of dung. It feels immense joy in what the world considers foul and filthy. All day long, it rolls a large ball of dung, shaping it, polishing it, and by evening, it tries to push it into its burrow.

But alas…
The ball is so big, it can’t fit inside.
It pushes harder, tires itself out, but eventually — under the darkness of night — returns empty-handed to its little burrow… only to rise again the next day, ready to build another ball.

Sometimes, humans are no different.
In pursuit of life’s “fragrance,” they develop desires so massive that they can’t fit into the chambers of the heart, the soul, or inner peace.
In truth, human desires are like the scent of dung — and the burrow symbolizes our grave.
None of these things can be taken with us.
Because only the soil of the grave can fill the belly of human desire.

True wisdom isn’t in gathering great successes —
It lies in wanting only what we truly need to live a meaningful life.
