October 1, 1993 - Teacher Robert Mitchell is ABC's 'Person of the Week'

Robert E. Mitchell Jr., an English teacher at Chelsea Vocational High School in New York City and 1982 graduate of DePauw University, "can see many of his inner-city, minority students going to four years of colleges, and he's doing something about it," ABC News anchor Peter Jennings says. Jennings featured Mitchell as the "Person of the Week" during the Oct. 1, 1993 edition of 'World News Tonight'.
