Day 202 – The Call to Repentance and the Collapse of Pride — Isaiah 1–3 | Bible In A Year (CSB)

3

Today we begin the powerful and prophetic book of Isaiah. Chapters 1–3 open with God’s lament over Judah’s rebellion, a call to repentance, and a stark warning of judgment against pride, corruption, and injustice. Yet even in the midst of condemnation, a glimmer of hope remains—God desires to cleanse and restore His people.

Questions:
1. How does Isaiah 1 reveal the difference between religious ritual and genuine obedience from the heart?

2. What does God’s willingness to cleanse sin (Isaiah 1:18) teach us about His justice and mercy working together?

3. In what ways does Isaiah 3 warn us about the dangers of pride, and how can humility reshape our communities today?
