Gameplay Part 1

Dying Light is a 2015 survival horror video game developed by Techland and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game's story follows undercover agent Kyle Crane who is sent to infiltrate a quarantine zone in a fictional Middle Eastern city called Harran. It features an enemy-infested, open world city with a dynamic day–night cycle, in which zombies are slow and clumsy during daytime and extremely aggressive at night. The gameplay is focused on weapons-based combat and parkour, allowing players to choose fight or flight when presented with dangers.

In this playthrough we cover:

Mission 01: Awakening:
Kyle Crane, an undercover operative sent into the quarantined city of Harran, regains consciousness in a survivor's safe zone after being attacked and bitten. With the help of Jade and Rahim, he learns about the Tower—one of the last strongholds of humanity. As he adjusts to life in the city, he’s introduced to the harsh reality of survival: volatile infected roam the streets at night, and supplies are running dangerously low.

Mission 02: First Assignment:
Now a runner-in-training, Crane must earn the Tower’s trust by doing jobs for its leader, Brecken. Rahim sends him to activate a series of traps designed to protect the Tower’s perimeter. Along the way, Crane gets his first taste of the outside world: gathering supplies, navigating rooftops, and fighting off the infected. By nightfall, he realizes just how dangerous the darkness can be as he’s forced to escape a group of Volatiles—highly aggressive nocturnal infected.

Mission 03: Air Drop:
The Tower learns of two supply drops sent by GRE, the organization Crane secretly works for. He races to the first location but finds it already looted by Rais’s men—a ruthless gang that controls much of the city’s resources. At the second drop, Crane beats them to it and finds valuable antizin—an anti-infection drug. Following orders from the GRE, Crane reluctantly burns the supply instead of bringing it back, keeping his cover intact but at the cost of the Tower’s health and morale.
